This is the one we have and love because it looks just like the real toilet. It has a flusher that makes a flushing sound that I could do without that my children of course love. We have 2, one for our upstairs bathroom and one for down. I suggest getting one for every bathroom the child may use. It is lightweight if I want to bring it outside and easy to clean.
Having the option to sit on the big toilet should also be given as the goal would be for them to eventually just sit up there. I like this one personally because it has the step to get up there for independence which can also be used as a place for their feet to rest while sitting. It also can easily fold up when you don't want it out.
These are the ones my children use and love. They don't hold a lot of wetness, but enough to keep small misses from being big messes. The child can still fully feel themselves go. I would suggest buying more than you think you'll need to help you keep up with laundry (like 12 pairs?) and buying them a size or two bigger than your child is so they can easily pull them up and down. You also don't want them to fit too tightly like a diaper so they feel different.
This was an inexpensive garbage pail I found online, but you could use any pail with a bag in it to hold soiled clothing in to collect until you are ready to start laundry. This just helps prepare your child's environment so they know exactly where they should put their underwear when dirty.
I keep our clean underwear and some books about pottying in here. I would recommend any plastic basket to be able to clean easily if it gets wet. Again, this is just to prepare the environment so the child knows where to get clean underwear and their books from. I don't have any books that I am crazy about to recommend on toilet learning at this time.
I keep these bottles all around my house filled with water and white vinegar to spray on any misses. This eliminates odor and is easy enough for my child to help clean up their messes alongside me. These bottles are also easy enough for my toddlers to use.
